Summary

Join Lime, the world's largest shared electric vehicle company, as a Platform Engineer. Contribute to building scalable infrastructure, lead new product initiatives, revamp existing core application experiences, implement security controls, mentor engineers, advise leadership on technology adoption, and shape the engineering culture.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of industry professional software development experience
  • Skilled at writing logical and maintainable code, and providing clear feedback in code reviews
  • Owner’s mindset. You’re a self-starter and get things across the finish line
  • Strong influencer. You motivate and empower your team to go above and beyond
  • Technical proficiency to understand and contribute to the design and implementation of projects and ideas
  • Excellent communication and effective prioritization skills in working with competing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Identify, define, and solve strategically essential technical problems
  • Architect and build highly scalable foundational platforms
  • Lead new product initiatives
  • Revamp existing core application experiences
  • Implement and manage security controls to ensure compliance with SOX and other relevant regulations
  • Mentor and lead other engineers at Lime. Identify and develop future leaders
  • Support audits and due diligence processes related to infrastructure
  • Advise Lime’s leadership team on key technology adoption and process improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a pre-IPO or public company environment is a plus
  • Operating Ruby on Rails in a cloud environment for 2+ years is a plus
