Staff Software Engineer

Summary

Join Toast's brand-new team to put the power of the entire Toast platform into the pockets of restaurant managers and operators! With our new app, managers will be able to track the performance of their restaurant in real-time during service. Using their own phones, managers will fine-tune restaurant operations from the floor of the restaurant in response to real-world conditions.

Requirements

• Typically 7+ years of relevant industry experience
• Experience building high quality native iOS experiences to real-world user
• Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics
• Experience with mobile testing culture in an agile environment
• Experience with AI/ML technologies and mobile app development a plus

Responsibilities

• Ship code that has a massive impact on helping restaurants thrive
• Drive delivery of new features from end-to-end including: tech design, coding, testing, and rollout
• Collaborate frequently with UX, PM, QA and other engineers to find the best ways to deliver value to our users
• Champion best practices for development, deployment and quality
• Be a leader within the team by mentoring less-experienced engineers

Benefits

Base salary range: $150,000 - $240,000 USD
