Staff Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Staff Software Engineer at Unlock Health, a healthcare marketing organization. The role involves architecting software solutions, developing technical specifications, providing internal technical support, and performing other tasks. This is a remote position in the US.

Requirements

• Computer science degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience developing Ruby on Rails or NodeJS applications
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and source control
• Strong understanding of Ruby, Python, Java, or other similar languages
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases

Responsibilities

• Participate in all development efforts and related responsibilities
• Architect software solutions for websites and mobile devices
• Develop technical specifications for software solutions
• Provide internal technical support to the organization through developer support rotations and as needed
• Perform other activities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing React/Angular/Vue applications
• Experience using AWS
