Summary

Join Distinguished Programs as a Program Manager and contribute to the implementation and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and business processes. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, facilitate change management, provide training and support, analyze and resolve operational issues, and foster a culture of operational excellence. This remote position requires 2+ years of experience in the P&C insurance industry and business process development, a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and excellent problem-solving skills. Requirements

  • 2+ years of Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry experience
  • 2+ years of experience in business process development and implementation, working with cross-functional teams or projects to design, document, and optimize workflows using a variety of process management techniques and methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or other related fields, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Experience working with Information Technology (IT) teams
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills and the ability to identify, assess, and resolve business problems, issues, risks and facilitate resolution and risk mitigation
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, perform complex tasks, remain organized, and manage your time
  • Curiosity and Active Listening: A strong desire to continuously learn and ask thoughtful questions to deepen understanding of business operations. Demonstrates the ability to actively listen, empathize, and collaborate effectively with colleagues, leadership, and external partners to drive meaningful improvements
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and publicly communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Computer savvy: Visio (or similar software) skills. Proficiency in Office 365

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement SOPs: Design and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines, while offering consultative recommendations to improve workflows, enhance efficiency, and ensure best practices are integrated across teams and functions
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including managers, staff, and leadership, to understand their needs and ensure successful process adoption
  • Facilitate Change Management: Manage the implementation and updates of processes and workflows, ensuring effective communication of changes, addressing concerns, and guiding teams through transitions—whether driven by new developments, technology enhancements, or adjustments to address operational challenges
  • Offer Ongoing Training and Support: Provide continuous guidance and support to staff on processes and SOPs, addressing questions, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring long-term adoption and proficiency
  • Analyze and Resolve Operational Issues: Investigate operational challenges and inefficiencies by conducting thorough root cause analyses, presenting findings, and recommending actionable solutions
  • Foster a Culture of Operational Excellence: Promote a mindset of proactive process evaluation and operational efficiency across teams, encouraging collaboration and the development of effective, scalable workflows

Preferred Qualifications

Process design or continuous improvement certification(s) are a plus

  • $70,000 - $80,000 base salary plus bonus. Salary commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location
