Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising and coordinating retail sales staff in establishments or departmental settings
- Strong background in management functions, including purchasing, budgeting, accounting, and personnel management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to document and explain complex retail scenarios to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, part-time capacity
- Expertise in store operations from roles such as Department Manager, Store Manager, or Shift Manager
- Enthusiastic about using domain expertise to advance AI technologies
Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise on the daily responsibilities and challenges faced by first-line supervisors of retail sales workers
- Train, evaluate, and annotate AI models using real-world retail management scenarios to ensure high-quality and relevant outputs
- Create and review training data encompassing tasks like purchasing, budgeting, personnel management, and customer service
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the accuracy and applicability of AI-driven solutions for retail environments
- Identify performance gaps in AI and propose actionable improvements based on your frontline supervisory experience
- Clearly and effectively communicate insights and recommendations in both written and verbal forms
- Uphold best practices surrounding data privacy, professional conduct, and team collaboration
