Summary
Join Anaplan as a Cloud Commercial Expert and become a trusted business partner to the Sales Field and Customer Success Organization. You will be responsible for deal structuring and pricing, contract creation and review, and providing support to the Sales Field on Anaplan's quoting tools. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial terms and conditions, experience in SaaS revenue recognition policies, and the ability to acquire knowledge of Anaplan's products and their value to customers. You will also be responsible for ensuring deals are structured and processed efficiently and align with company policies, reviewing and approving contracts, and anticipating and resolving issues using professional judgment and company policies. This role offers the opportunity to drive efficiency and process improvements, participate in testing and training initiatives, and support commercial projects on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
- Requires a 4-year college degree
- A minimum of 4 years professional experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations or Finance in a SaaS company
- A “Customer First” perspective and ethos
- Experience supporting global / multinational customer and deals
- Outstanding business partnering skills – able to interact positively with the Sales Field and influence business outcomes
- Excellent understanding of most Deal Support/Commercial topics (pricing, deal structuring, contracting etc.); familiarity with SaaS revenue recognition policies a plus
- Excellent understanding of commercial terms and conditions
- The ability to acquire knowledge of our products and the value they provide to Anaplan’s Customers
- The ability to acquire a thorough understanding of Anaplan’s corporate goals and objectives and consider these goals/objectives within the design of offers
- Ability to organize, prioritize, complete activities and meet deadlines on a daily basis
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance to the Sales field and Customer Success in the areas of deal structuring, pricing, and contract management
- Participate in deal reviews with Sales/Sales Leadership to help drive Account-Level strategy on pricing/deal structuring
- Ensure deals are structured and processed efficiently and align with company policies
- Review, interpret, and confirm contract terms and conditions; work closely with finance and legal teams to ensure all contracts are accurate
- Verify compliance with internal policies (and external regulations)
- Responsible for drafting, modifying, and finalizing contracts including new, add-on, and renewal business for Cloud Subscription Services
- Review and approve deals for Anaplan customers and prospects
- Anticipate issues and initiate actions to resolve them using professional judgment and concepts, company policies, and procedures
- Deal with day-to-day queries from Sales, and Account Management teams on Anaplan’s quoting tools and/or CRM system
- Participate in testing, as requested, to support quoting tool enhancements
- Support Sales enablement through new hire training initiatives and ad hoc training requests as needed
- Independently drive efficiency and process improvements
- Support commercial projects on an as-needed basis
Preferred Qualifications
Requires proficiency with computer applications, such as Windows, Excel, and Word and CRM systems – Anaplan, SFDC and CPQ experience a plus
Benefits
Base Salary Range: $135 — $170 USD
