Strategic Finance Associate in United States

Summary

Headway is a mental healthcare startup that aims to make therapy accessible and affordable by building a national network of providers accepting insurance. The Strategic Finance Associate will support the company's growth and decision-making with analytical insights and strategic recommendations, partnering with the Payer Business Development team and working cross-functionally to identify important strategy questions and answer them with data.

Requirements

• You have 3-4 years of professional experience, ideally in a mix of financial services (Investment Banking / Private Equity) and highly analytical roles at a fast-growing company (Strategic Finance / Strategy & Ops / BizOps)
• You are intellectually curious and seek to understand the why behind the numbers
• You value precision and accuracy when it comes to your work, and you can rapidly dissect complex quantitative problems
• You have exceptional analytical skills, including advanced Excel/google sheets skills, with a proven ability to digest large amounts of data and hone into the most important details

Responsibilities

• Partner with Payer Business Development team to drive the success of Headway’s Payer commercial efforts
• Build financial forecasts and targets, track performance, and understand deviations from actuals to drive strategy and operational rigor
• Gain deep knowledge and understanding of Headway’s business performance across Payer partners and markets
• Define metrics and leading indicators of business performance and partner with the Data team to develop tools and dashboards to make these metrics widely accessible across Headway
