Student Intern

Summary

Join CannonDesign's Open Hand Studio as an intern and immerse yourself in a mission-driven design studio focused on social impact. You will research current practices and 2025 goals, develop innovative ideas, and implement 2-3 of your ideas to enhance studio work. This internship offers the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on impactful projects. The internship runs from July to August 2025, and preference is given to candidates near CannonDesign offices. The salary range is $22.50-$27.50 hourly, with potential for bonuses and a full benefits package. Apply soon, as only the first 200 applications will be considered.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in and working toward a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a relevant program
• Availability to commit to the full internship timeframe: July–August 2025

Responsibilities

• Immerse in the mission, values, and work of Open Hand Studio, gaining a strong understanding of its role within CannonDesign
• Research and analyze current practices and 2025 strategic goals to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
• Develop and propose creative, actionable ideas that align with the studio’s objectives
• Lead the implementation of 2–3 selected ideas, collaborating with team members and partners to ensure meaningful outcomes
• Document and present the impact of your work, contributing to the studio’s storytelling and future planning

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience or previous internship in a related field is preferred
• Proximity to a CannonDesign office is preferred to enable potential in-person engagement
