Summary
Join Noodle as a Student Support Coach (SSC) and help online graduate students excel. As the primary point of contact, you will build rapport with students, proactively addressing their needs and ensuring a positive learning experience. You will monitor academic progress, facilitate orientation sessions, and create engaging social programs. Collaboration with university staff and internal stakeholders is crucial to resolve student issues efficiently. Maintain data integrity within the CRM and provide seamless support. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and a working knowledge of FERPA regulations.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience working at a university
- Masterβs degree in student affairs, higher education, social work, counseling, or related field
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Critical and analytical thinking skills with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work occasional hours on weekends and evenings
- Working knowledge of FERPA regulations and application
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment
Responsibilities
- Meet with and advise a diverse body of students on strategies for being a successful student
- Monitor student academic progress to identify and follow up on potential concerns that could impede student progress
- Create and facilitate new student orientation sessions
- Increase student engagement by creating and hosting innovative student social programs
- Act as a trusted liaison with university staff to manage tactical day-to-day student scenarios
- Provide students with accurate referrals to campus resources, resolve their issues when possible, and escalate issues as needed
- Assess level of urgency of student needs/questions; respond to urgent student questions within agreed-upon SLAs
- Ensure a seamless student experience by partnering with internal and external cross-functional stakeholders
- Ensure data integrity via documentation of registration data and interactions with students within the CRM (e.g. Salesforce)
- Perform other duties as assigned
