Summary

The job is for a Senior Kubernetes SME at a leading US healthcare company. The role involves rearchitecting the existing monolithic system to an Azure cloud-native architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the adoption of DevOps principles.

Requirements

• Strong Kubernetes(K8S) development experience within large organizations required
• 7+ years. of experience in rearchitecting large-scale monolithic applications to cloud-native architectures
• Load balancing algorithms. are must to have
• Terraform. is must to have
• Bachelor's. or Master's degree in Software Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure applications using Kubernetes (AKS) within Azure
• Implement and manage load balancing algorithms to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization
• Enforce security best practices for containerized applications and cluster management
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate and replicate environments efficiently
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Kubernetes solutions into broader federal healthcare projects
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support for Kubernetes environments, including upgrades and patches
• Conduct technology evaluations and provide recommendations for new tools, technologies, and frameworks that can enhance our infrastructure
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth

Preferred Qualifications

• A previous software developer background is preferred
• Experience programming C# (.NET) or Java. is a plus
