Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Nursing, or related field, or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
- Minimum of 20 years of experience working in VHA healthcare and familiarity with all aspects of medical center operations
- Past executive-level healthcare experience that has led or contributed to setting vision and direction for a large and complex healthcare organization, preferably with VHA and/or the Department of Defense Healthcare System
- Experience developing strategic and tactical plans, communicating policy and information to large organizations, supporting financial and acquisition and/or electronic health records systems
Responsibilities
- Leverage extensive knowledge of health care delivery to integrate new work products with existing operations
- Provide expert guidance on all aspects of medical center operations
- Act as a liaison between the project team and VA stakeholders, ensuring alignment with VA healthcare policies and procedures
- Monitor and assess healthcare delivery to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with various VA departments to ensure the comprehensive and efficient delivery of healthcare services to Veterans
Preferred Qualifications
- Masterβs degree in Health Administration, Public Health, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in VA healthcare policy development and implementation
- Previous experience working with the department of Veterans Affairs or military health systems
- Experience managing projects that involve integration of medical, behavioral, and social health systems
