Summary

Join our team as a part-time, remote Intune SME – Application Packaging Specialist! This flexible role, ideal for those seeking non-traditional hours, involves the entire lifecycle of modern application deployment within the Microsoft Endpoint Manager ecosystem. You will develop, test, and implement application packages using Microsoft Intune, troubleshoot deployment issues, collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance, and suggest process improvements. This position requires a minimum of three years of Intune/Endpoint Manager experience and deep knowledge of application packaging techniques. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. This is a part-time, remote position open to U.S.-based candidates only.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of practical experience working with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
  • Deep knowledge of application packaging techniques, including proficiency with Win32 applications, MSIX, and PowerShell scripting
  • Familiarity with essential packaging utilities like Intune WinAppUtil and tools for log analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in configuring application deployment settings, managing dependencies, defining supersedence rules, and setting detection logic
  • Capability to operate autonomously and consistently deliver exceptional outcomes on a flexible schedule
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong diagnostic problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop, rigorously test, and implement application packages utilizing Microsoft Intune
  • Set up and oversee application assignments, establish robust detection methods, define dependencies, and configure installation/uninstallation commands
  • Diagnose and resolve application deployment challenges, enhancing the efficiency of software delivery to end-users
  • Partner with various internal departments to guarantee applications are prepared for deployment and meet compliance standards
  • Offer insights and propose enhancements for application packaging processes and standardization
  • Maintain thorough documentation and version control for all deployed applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MD-102, MS-101)
  • Background with SCCM or environments leveraging co-management
  • Prior experience in a consulting role or direct client engagement
