Summary

Join Khan Academy India's Content team as a Chemistry Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the creation of syllabus-aligned videos and practice questions for grades 11-12. This 1-year full-time contract position (with potential extension) involves managing a team of freelancers, conducting quality checks, and iterating on content based on feedback. The ideal candidate possesses 4+ years of experience in teaching and creating educational chemistry content, impeccable written communication skills, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. The role offers a remote-friendly workplace with flexible schedules and fun virtual events. This position is open only to citizens residing in India.

Requirements

• Have a combined 4+ years of experience in teaching and creating educational content for Chemistry
• Possess impeccable written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of freelancers
• Onboard freelancers on Khan Academy content principles
• Conduct quality checks for exercises in Chemistry 11th-12th and from Science 6-10
• Create videos and exercises for Chemistry 11th-12th
• Continuously iterate and improve content based on feedback received
• Curate courses and lead workshops to collect feedback on the content

• Be proactive and ask clarifying questions, provide status updates, loop in your manager when things aren't going your way, etc

• Be willing to roll up your sleeves and help the team get work done as we grow
