Join Spring Health as a Part-Time Substance Abuse Expert (SAE) in Seneca, SC, contributing to our mission of eliminating barriers to mental healthcare. This role involves providing psychotherapy to employees of our NRC-regulated clients, conducting assessments, and developing treatment recommendations. The position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in mental health, an unrestricted South Carolina psychotherapy license, and SAE credentialing. You will work 4 hours bi-weekly with onsite presence required at least twice monthly. Spring Health offers a flexible schedule, remote work options, and handles all administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on clinical care. Compensation is $85-$110/hour, with variations based on experience and other factors.
Requirements
- Have an unrestricted license to practice psychotherapy in South Carolina and ideally, multiple states (Psychologist, LCSW, LPC, LMHC, etc.)
- Have completed and maintained the requirements of Substance Abuse Expert credential as noted by NRC 10 CFR 26.187
- Minimum 3 years of total experience within mental health
- Knowledge of the SAE function as it relates to the public's interests in the duties performed by the individuals who are subject to these regulations
- Demonstrated knowledge of and clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of alcohol and controlled-substance abuse disorders
- Be comfortable with technology, have the ability to manage an online calendar, are comfortable completing notes, reviewing case files and general documentation online, and are comfortable delivering therapy via Zoom
- Be required to have at home WiFi and a personal device that connects to the WiFi for 2FA set up
- Have a dedicated office space in which to provide in-person therapy if you choose to provide those services
Responsibilities
- Serve as a designated Substance Abuse Expert (SAE) for one of Spring Health’s Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulated customers
- Attend monthly SAE meetings with designated customer onsite as needed
- Provide psychotherapy to clients with benefits ranging from short-term goal-focused EAP, to employer health plans allowing many sessions as medically necessary
- Meet with referred employees mandated under NRC regulations for assessment and completion of recommendations for treatment/ determination of fitness
- Treat adults who have completed brief, evidence-based online screenings identifying their symptoms and areas of concern
- Maintain a calendar displaying your availability and complete session documentation in a timely manner within our EHR
- Use evidence-based treatment modalities and interventions that are tailored to your client’s needs
- Collaborate with our dedicated provider support team, employer services team, licensed clinical care navigation team, and our administrative care support team whenever you need assistance
- Provide culturally competent and empathetic care, upholding our values of diversity and inclusion for all races, ethnicities, and genders
Preferred Qualifications
- You have training and experience in evidence-based modalities of care such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, CPT
- You are comfortable with providing safety planning and intervention during situations where a client might present with higher risks
- You are committed to quality clinical care and want to expand your capabilities and increase your effectiveness by being informed of client progress or challenges
- You like working independently, but would also enjoy having the support of a team and opportunities for connections and collaboration with other providers and our master’s level clinical care navigators
