Supply Chain Officer

Summary

Join our client, an Australian company, as a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Officer. This role supports procurement and logistics functions, involving placing and tracking orders with overseas suppliers, coordinating international shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery. You will liaise with freight forwarders and suppliers, work with internal teams, verify documentation, monitor shipment progress, assist with payments and costings, and support goods receipting. The position offers a permanent work-from-home setup in Australia during dayshift hours. This is a full-time role.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support role
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders with international suppliers
• Coordinate sea and air freight shipments to meet timelines
• Liaise with freight forwarders and suppliers to ensure smooth logistics
• Work with internal teams to meet product labelling and shipping requirements
• Verify and track sales confirmations and shipping documentation
• Monitor shipment progress and communicate any delays
• Assist with scheduling payments and preparing costings
• Support with goods receipting and internal coordination

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal English; Mandarin is a bonus but not required
• ERP experience is a plus (AX2009 preferred)
