Summary

Join Instacart's Business team as a Strategic Partner Manager to manage business-focused sellers. Drive key business insights and recommend scalable growth strategies. Implement new operational processes, manage client needs, and project manage key stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Operations, and Partnerships) to refine expansion strategies. This individual contributor role offers massive potential as Instacart expands. The team focuses on serving the entire supply chain ecosystem with technology and labor solutions. Manage relationships with existing and new network partners, including distributors. Develop and execute strategic plans to meet distributors' goals and uncover growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in consulting and/or strategic account management, supply chain, or a related area
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret large datasets and generate actionable insights
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear, concise action plans
  • Demonstrated experience impacting stakeholders and driving results in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments
  • Solid ability to manage cross-functional projects and influence both internal and external stakeholders effectively

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with existing network partners, including distributors, while launching new partners into the Instacart platform
  • Establish a deep understanding of Instacart’s business operations, internal processes, functional group strategies, and the competitive landscape
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to meet distributors' goals and uncover opportunities for growth
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives across Product, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and other internal teams to deliver high-value results and seamless implementations
  • Drive key operational processes, including catalog setup, marketing activation, public relations, and ongoing support to ensure successful onboarding for new partners
  • Analyze large datasets to deliver meaningful insights and create scalable growth strategies with actionable execution plans
  • Streamline team operations by establishing effective processes, reporting tools, and best practices to maximize efficiency and the value provided to partners
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders at all organizational levels to devise strategies that help them enhance their performance and growth on Instacart

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with distributors, manufacturers, or retail partners in a high-growth, technology-driven business
  • Expertise in negotiation and structuring sophisticated partnerships to drive mutual value
  • High overall business acumen and a deep understanding of diverse partner business models within supply chain ecosystems
  • Proven self-starter who can identify creative solutions while managing multiple time-sensitive projects with minimal supervision
  • Outstanding presentation and deck-building skills with the ability to engage executive-level stakeholders
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to problem-solving in new or undefined scenarios

  • The base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location
  • Currently, we are only hiring in the following provinces: Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia
  • Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role
  • Additionally, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants
  • $153,000 β€” $170,000 CAD
