Summary
Join Harrow, a leading North American ophthalmic pharmaceutical company, as their Supply Chain Strategy & Cost Control Manager. This key strategic role oversees cost control, supply chain efficiencies, and financial forecasting. You will develop and implement cost accounting systems, enhance inventory controls, and optimize procurement and logistics. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure cost transparency and sustainable cost reductions. The position is remote with up to 30% travel required. This role requires a strong cost systems background, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting principles.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 solid years of Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Must have a strong cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles
- Good communication skills; presents numerical data effectively
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, with strong attention to detail
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
- ERP system (Oracle Fusion, Netsuite, Dynamics, or related) experience required
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize procurement, inventory management, and logistics
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve supplier performance, reduce lead times, and enhance supply continuity
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers (CMOs) to ensure alignment of production schedules with demand forecasts
- Analyze supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate, real-time tracking of materials and finished goods
- Work closely with procurement and operations teams to negotiate supplier agreements and cost-effective solutions
- Work closely with contract manufacturers (CMOs) to align production schedules with demand forecasts and ensure efficient inventory utilization
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain efficiency, cost reduction, and budget adherence
- Maintain the cost and manufacturing accounting system for the Company’s compounding facilities; develop standard costs and update annually or as appropriate
- Drive the development of procedures and controls that ensure meaningful and reliable product costs and accurate inventories
- Research work orders variances and analyze inventory movement to determine the need for reserves
- Prepare manufacturing accounting reports for presentation to top management
- Prepare all audit support schedules for inventory and respond to audit questions
- Prepare perpetual to G/L reconciliation monthly and investigate differences
- Provide estimates of new product costs and changes in cost
- Reconcile quarterly physical inventory counts and provides metrics; monitor cycle count program
- Support the financial budgets and planning group in the development of the annual budget for manufacturing operations
