System Architect, Simulations & Models

PsiQuantum
Summary
Join PsiQuantum's system architecture team as a computational physicist to develop internal tools for designing and analyzing quantum system architecture. Collaborate with other technical teams to design and develop software tools and infrastructure for the development, analysis, and tracking of the quantum system architecture. Contribute to the quantum computing system architecture and software system roadmap. Develop and improve simulation tools that evaluate system models of photonic modules using Fock and Gaussian states. Contribute to tool development for analysis and inspection of hierarchical multi-scale models of planned systems. Maintain graph-based models of modules and subsystems and infrastructure to ensure consistency and compatibility with up- and downstream models.
Requirements
- Degree in Physics and a strong background in quantum optics and quantum information
- Proficiency in Python
- 3+ years of experience in software development, with an emphasis on scientific computing
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments, sites, and time zones
- A hands-on mentality to own challenges and develop solutions independently
