System Database Administrator

Summary

The job is for a System Database Administrator who will design and deploy databases, manage their administration, security, and migration, and have expertise in Oracle technologies. The role is primarily remote but requires occasional on-site presence.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working with Oracle 11g
• 2+ years of experience in Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Access Manager (OAM), Oracle Internet Directory (OID), Oracle Forms and Reports, and WebLogic
• 1+ years of experience configuring Oracle databases to use TCP/IP with SSL (TCPS) authentication
• 1+ years of experience working with database designs and data warehouse architectures
• 4+ years of experience with any development and management of Oracle database tools, such as Toad or SQL Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and deployment of database
• Provision database on cloud
• Connectivity to cloud
• Administration, patching in cloud
• Backup and restore
• Security and migration (lift and shift)
• Architecture, design, build, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance and security of database system
• Software upgrades, implementation of planned maintenance, security, operating system and firmware patches
• Provide database strategies to maintain and improve system integrity
• Troubleshoot incidents, determine root causes and find/implement solutions
• Maintain database links between databases as they function on-premises today

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with OCI Oracle Autonomous database version 19c or higher
• 2+ years of experience in implementing the bootstrap process
• 1+ years of experience in migrating on-premises databases to OCI
• 1+ years of experience working with database links and migration of those to OCI
• 1+ years of experience working with Oracle Cloud migration(s)
• 1+ years of experience provisioning Oracle Analytics Cloud instance in OCI to serve as the Print Server for Apex applications
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) / Organizational Change Management (OCM) / Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certification
