Systems Administrator

Summary

Join our growing team at Dynatron Software as a remote based Sr. IT System Administrator! As a senior specialist on the team, you will have the opportunity to mentor others and assist them in gaining knowledge and experience. You will be responsible for monitoring and addressing system and network related issues, evaluating and implementing new tools, and automating their configuration.

Requirements

• Three-Five years of experience with Linux server and network support
• Linux (Ubuntu/Debian preferred)
• Experience with Ansible or other automated deployment tools
• Virtualization (VMWare or similar)
• NAS storage (NetApp preferred)
• Network troubleshooting and configuration, specifically with PFsense and Cisco switches
• Networking and storage skills for on prem. All things routers, network switches, subnets, VNETs, VLANs, DNS, proxy servers, reverse proxies, load balancers, firewalls
• Basic database admin experience

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and deploy infrastructure and IT tools, with a focus on IT Security
• Deploy server and network configurations for new applications
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configurations, mapping, processes, and service records
• Manage inventory of virtual machines, storage appliances, network devices, and other aspects of the infrastructure
• Monitor network and server performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed
• Configures and update our monitoring systems
• Provides Tier III Systems support
• Provides guidance for IT Specialists on the team
• Work assigned support tickets, adhering to escalation policies and procedures
• Provide professional and courteous customer service
• Assist in problem-solving for corporate applications issues
• Keep up to date with application releases and communicate features that align with our business needs
• Tests new software applications and recommends purchases where required
