This System Administrator position requires diagnosing and resolving complex system issues, contributing to new system architectures, monitoring performance, implementing security measures, and forecasting future needs. The role also involves providing technical guidance and training to other system administrators.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience with enterprise network administration tools
  • Possess extensive understanding of specific operating systems, hardware, network protocols, security measures, and cloud technologies relevant to their organization
  • Expert knowledge of Linux operating systems, including system configuration, shell scripting, and package management
  • Advanced expertise in managing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and related technologies
  • Deep understanding of AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including cloud security and resource management
  • Expertise in network infrastructure, routing protocols, firewalls, and network security
  • Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, and SAFe
  • Active US Top Secret Clearance is required

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and resolving complex system issues that may require in-depth analysis and creative solutions
  • Contributing to the design and implementation of new system architectures, including server configurations, network topology, and data storage solutions
  • Monitoring system performance metrics and identifying bottlenecks to optimize system efficiency and uptime
  • Implementing robust security measures, managing user access controls, and staying updated on emerging cyber threats
  • Forecasting future system needs and planning for hardware upgrades or infrastructure scaling to accommodate growth
  • Providing technical guidance and training to other system administrators on best practices and new technologies
