Summary
Join our team as a Systems Architect -III and contribute to the design and development of internal business systems for our client. You will work with the CHEMS Lead, integrating systems across multiple functional areas, including finance, accounting, and supply chain. This remote position requires experience in software design, development, and the integration of business applications and enterprise IT infrastructure. You will transition counties to the CHEMS system, design IT infrastructure components, and develop custom modules. Proven experience in complex systems integration projects is essential, along with the ability to meet deadlines and budget constraints. The role involves implementing, supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the County Highway Expenditure Microcomputer System (CHEMS) and CHEMSPRO.
Requirements
- Possess experience in software design and development with a focus on the integration of internal business systems across multiple functional areas, notably finance/accounting, financial transaction processing, supply chain transaction processing, etc
- Possess experience in design and integration of business applications and enterprise IT infrastructure
- Have experience with design and development of custom modules/solutions and the integration of these components with packaged solutions
- Demonstrate proven methodology experience for complex systems integration projects and demonstrated ability to achieve deliverables on time and on budget
- Be familiar with client, Bureau of Highway Operations (BHO) project and activity accounting and business practices
- Have an extensive background in software analysis, design, development, testing and implementation
- Have a broad range of networking infrastructure knowledge and experience
- Possess great communication skills, problem solver attitude, and the ability to work independently
- Have sound knowledge in the following areas: Delphi programming experience using RAD Studio 2007+ and/or 2011
- Have sound knowledge in the following areas: SQL/PL SQL experience
- Have sound knowledge in the following areas: GitHub
- Have sound knowledge in the following areas: Object-orient programming languages using Virtual Component Library (VCL)
- Have sound knowledge in the following areas: MS Windows 11 Enterprise
- Have sound knowledge in the following areas: Windows Server 2015+
- Have extensive knowledge of a Windows-based application target platform and software development tools
- Have extensive knowledge of Oracle RDBMS
- Have extensive knowledge of Oracle DB Admin Tools, Enterprise Manager
- Have experience with Design & Code walkthroughs
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design and development of current client internal business systems, working with the CHEMS Lead
- Work with general supervision and priorities will be coordinated & approved by the CHEMS Lead
- Transition Counties from their current software packages to the CHEMS system
- Design IT infrastructure components and architecture
- Implement, support, maintain and enhance the County Highway Expenditure Microcomputer System (CHEMS) and CHEMSPRO (GUI version) that is in the process of being implemented
- Work with team to upgrade CHEMS from Delphi 2007 to 2011
- Participate in virtual State-wide meetings to support and enhance CHEMS
- Perform software and system enhancements to the existing Oracle version 19c database
- Develop import/export integration programs to transfer data in and out of CHEMS
- Perform release management for periodic CHEMS software releases
- Confirm priorities from the lead IT Consultant
- Operate independently from a remote work location
- Be self-sufficient in all necessary county interfacing, hardware, software, training, and support
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience with Financials applications (will be supporting client custom written solution)
- Have experience with Third-party data access software packages such as ASTA or RemObjectsβ Data Abstract
- Have Oracle development experience building triggers and/or packages
- Have experience with Implementation of security software package (e.g. OKTA or other) that integrated with Delphi application
- Have experience with SQL Developer or similar Oracle Tool
