Systems Engineer II

Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced VMware Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our organization's virtualization infrastructure. The role involves overseeing VMware administration, troubleshooting, and ensuring performance, availability, and security of the virtualized environment while communicating with various teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of virtualization experience supporting a large VMware environment
• In-depth knowledge of VMware, AD Group Policy, and network storage
• VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA)
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Cisco UCS experience
• Strong network background
• HCI - Dell/EMS VxRail or Cisco HyperFlex

Responsibilities

• Implementation and Support of VMware vSphere virtualization solutions
• Confidently explain complex technologies to all levels of leadership
• Develop and maintain clear and concise documentation of all datacenter infrastructure as it relates to virtualization and storage
• Report into virtualization team lead daily with updates on platform health and project tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent, are a plus
• Windows AD user and security administration
• Advanced knowledge in VMware Networking, data stores, backup, DR replication, vSAN and SANs
