Systems Installer

Summary

The job involves performing skilled electrical work as an Electrical Mechanic under direct supervision. The position requires a minimum Apprentice license and working towards Journeyman license. The employee will operate power tools, read blueprints, troubleshoot basic electrical issues, and ensure regulatory compliance. Relevant work experience for 1-3 years is required, with additional preferences for familiarity with specific hardware product lines and Building Automation Systems.

Requirements

• 1-3 Years relevant work experience
• Prior experience installing Building Automation Systems’ from Johnson Controls, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Honeywell or Niagara is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation
• Key leadership competencies in addition to high ethical standards, strong values, integrity, drive to deliver results, pride in personal and team performance, decision quality, building effective teams, and action orientation are fundamental imperatives
• Ability to plan and prepare for tasks assigned to them
• Self-starter attitude that is inquisitive, intuitive and has a willingness to learn and grow

Responsibilities

• Assists in the operation of the department
• Operates power tools, hand tools and other specialized electrical installation equipment
• Cuts, threads, bends, assembles and installs conduits & other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings at constant rate at national standards
• Constructs and maintains equipment
• Troubleshoots basic electrical field issues
• Works as part of a team
• Supports a performance-based culture and employee engagement, training, and development
• Ensures regulatory compliance across a range of federal, state, and local agencies
• Ensures that all quality and safety standards, specifications and policies are met, drives continuous equipment improvements, and collaborates with the project team to drive efficiency
• Supports a culture based on open/honest dialogue and involvement with all team members that demonstrates the value of their input and engagement in improving performance
• Promotes companywide installation policies
• Promotes a safe workplace

Preferred Qualifications

• Equivalent experience, vocational school, or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field is preferred
• Familiarity with the Automated Logic hardware product line and network architecture is preferred
• Commitment to ‘open door’ and comfort with construction environment and field employees
• Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities
