Summary
Join Garner's growing team as a Talent Management & Total Rewards Manager and help shape its next-generation People function. This hands-on leadership role involves designing, managing, and improving Garner’s job architecture, performance processes, compensation programs, employee benefits, and People tech systems. You will develop infrastructure for a high-performance organization, using your expertise and building from first principles. The position offers a remote or hybrid option in the NYC office. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the People/HR space, with 2+ years in a Talent Management and/or Total Rewards leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
- A combination of high ownership mentality, agility, and exceptional project management skills that has resulted in a proven track record of delivering complex initiatives in a rapidly evolving, high-bar environment
- A deep interest in innovative performance and compensation practices
- Analytical mindset and an aptitude for telling stories with data; advanced Excel/Google Sheets abilities required
- Strong written communication and an eye for visual design (tools, training, etc.)
- Passion for delivering an exceptional employee experience, and a desire to be a part of our mission to improve the healthcare system
- A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
Responsibilities
- Lead the continuous development of Garner’s Performance and Compensation philosophy and processes; directly manage bi-annual performance reviews, promotions, and compensation planning cycles
- Develop employee and manager-facing tools and education around performance and compensation, including our equity incentive program
- Manage and evolve Garner’s job architecture and compensation programs (job families, leveling, pay bands, bonuses, etc.)
- Own the design and administration of healthcare benefits, ancillary benefits, 401k plan, and perks
- Operate as the “product manager” for People systems, tools, and operational workflows; drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency/automation
- Design and manage People Analytics dashboards; use data to continually assess organizational health and identify areas for improvement
- Partner on complex change management initiatives; lead projects or provide support in any area of the People function as needed
