Summary
Join Envato as a Tax Analyst and provide indirect tax compliance support for global GST/VAT and other taxes across various jurisdictions. You will generate indirect tax reports, prepare data for tax return filing, compile and submit returns, reconcile tax authority statements, and contribute to process improvements. The role requires an academic degree in a relevant field and 2-3 years of office experience; indirect tax experience is desirable but not essential. Strong attention to detail, computer literacy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team are crucial. Requirements
- Academic degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Tax law, data analytics, and/or the equivalent experience
- 2 - 3 years experience working in an office environment
- High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet multiple competing deadlines
- Intermediate level of computer literacy and Excel knowledge
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well on a cross-functional team
- Excellent English and Spanish in both written and verbal communication
Responsibilities
- Generate indirect tax-related reports, including country-specific reports, and prepare data for indirect tax return filing
- Compile indirect tax return, seek return approval and lodge (uploaded into tax authority portal)
- Prepare requests for manual payment and request approval for payment
- Review Tax Authority statements and reconcile them against internal indirect tax reports/accounts
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives to mitigate process risk and ensure compliance
