Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and proof-reading skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to high quality work and great at problem solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: multi-task, prioritize requests, accommodate competing demands, manage priorities to meet deadlines, utilize proactive customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assemble tax returns and extensions based on PDMs instructions and in accordance with firm standards
  • E-file release basic returns
  • Be required to work overtime as needed during peak season, which can include some evenings and weekends
  • Check accuracy of incoming hardcopy client documents and create barcodes for scanning
  • Scan client documents into CCH Document
  • Submission of documents to create binders in SurePrep and verification
  • Be required to work overtime as needed during busy season, which can include some evenings and weekends
  • Provide administrative support to Partners, Directors, Managers, and Staff, as requested
  • Issue and track annual client engagement letters
  • Send annual Tax Organizers to clients
  • Use firm CRM system to record engagement opportunities, apply for new client ID
  • Verify new clients/jobs in STAR and set up new clients in CCH Axcess (new projects, client profile, portal)
  • Perform other various projects as needed
  • Schedule appointments and meetings as needed
  • Be required to work overtime as needed during peak season, which can include some evenings and weekends
  • Post-EL communication to new clients with information on critical "need to knows" (Introduction as go-to contact on non-tax specific questions, BPM process, timing, platforms, request for IP PINs, etc.)
  • Work with new clients to access relevant BPM software platforms (portal, DocuSign, SafeSend, etc.)
  • Assist tax clients with use of BPM software platforms throughout service period (how to use each platform to send/receive necessary information from BPM)
  • Follow up on required documents and forms (missing signed ELs, e-file forms, open items, etc.)
  • Access 3rd party provider platforms to pull client documents into BPM platform
  • Save pertinent email communications/documents into BPM platform (special tax projects only)
  • Remove file permissions from electronic documents received from clients/3rd parties and saving into BPM platform
  • Convert file types to PDF (when appropriate) and saving to BPM platform
  • Provide various duties such as, track correspondence including annual engagement letters, print, scan and copy client documents, schedule of internal and external meetings as requested
  • Use good judgement to prioritize, multi-task, and meet tax deadlines
  • Be required to work overtime as needed during peak season, which can include some evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in CCH Axcess tax preferable, but not required
  • Experience with DocuSign, Salesforce or similar CRM software preferred
