Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA license and/or Masters in Taxation preferred
  • 1-3 years’ experience in tax compliance or consulting role
  • Some public accounting experience strongly preferred, but not required
  • Strong experience in US Federal partnership income tax, SALT, SUT
  • Experience in ASC 740, FIN 48 and familiarity with US GAAP
  • Experience with non-US taxation helpful, but not required
  • Experience with VAT helpful, but not required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills essential; ability to communicate at many levels within the organization
  • Self-starter with demonstrative initiative, attention to detail, and a critical, problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Proficient in MS office; advanced Excel with ability to manipulate data; strong experience with tax provision and corporate tax preparation software
  • Must be a team player

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assist with US and International compliance and tax planning issues
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly partnership tax reporting (IRC 704(b) and (c))
  • Maintain ledger automation of tax software for real-time rate updates
  • Assist in IRS and state examination process as assigned and correspond with tax authorities concerning disputes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external investors, 3rd-party firms, and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with and assist other departments for M&A support, contracts, request for proposals, etc
  • Coordinate and review transfer pricing planning and documentation preparation
  • Research tax issues as needed, and communicate findings and recommendations to management
  • Assist with modeling of various tax scenarios for planning purposes
  • Participate and assist with business development and M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and purchase accounting issues
  • Assist with tax planning projects, and the eventual implementation and monitoring of those projects
  • Partner with finance, legal, and operations on tax aspects of common issues / projects
  • Liaise with treasury personnel on common tax / treasury issues
  • Identify opportunities and help implement automation efficiencies
  • Perform other duties as required
