Summary
Join Aprio's tax team as a Tax Manager and lead a team of tax professionals, developing and implementing tax strategies, providing consulting services to clients, and preparing tax returns. You will conduct tax research, communicate with clients and stakeholders, and manage client relationships. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 6+ years of federal tax consulting experience, and exceptional communication skills. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Recent experience working in a public accounting firm
- 6+ experience years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in accounting
- Experience in S-Corp, Partnership returns, Individual and Corporate
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology
- Experience managing a team
- Willing to work hybrid
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of tax professionals, delegating tasks and responsibilities, and overseeing the work of your team members
- Develop and implement tax strategies. This will involve staying up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations and identifying opportunities for tax planning
- Provide consulting services to clients on various tax-related issues such as mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, and corporate restructuring
- Conduct tax research to stay up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations and identify opportunities for tax planning
- Prepare and review tax returns for clients, ensuring that they comply with relevant tax laws and regulations
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders, including tax authorities and other regulatory bodies, to ensure that all tax-related matters are handled effectively and efficiently
- Manage client relationships and ensure that clients are satisfied with the services provided by your team
- Train and mentor team members
