Summary

Job Description: Hire Resolve is seeking a Tax Supervisor for their client's public accounting team in Maryland. The role includes supervising tax team members, preparing/reviewing tax returns, providing tax planning services, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws, and maintaining client relationships.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting
• Bachelor's Degree (Masters is a bonus)
• Software experience: ProSystemsfx Tax, fixed asset software, and Advance Flow

Responsibilities

• Supervise and review the work of tax team members
• Prepare and/or review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, foundations, and corporations
• Review responses to IRS and state taxing authority letters and notices
• Review state and local excise and personal property returns
• Review federal and state payroll returns
• Review client bookkeeping
• Complete year-end and other tax planning services
• Oversee and complete complex tax research projects
• Develop budgets, processes and systems
• Maintain client relationships
• Problem solving

Preferred Qualifications

CPA certification preferred
