Summary

Join Mitratech's internal Tax Team as a Tax Administrative Assistant and support the team with administrative tasks, external firm communications, and document management. This fully remote position requires managing tax communications, organizing tax documents, tracking deadlines, performing data entry, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and handling administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in accounting, finance, or administrative roles. A degree in a related field is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Mitratech offers a close-knit, globally dispersed team and a diverse and inclusive work culture.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience or internship in accounting, finance, or administrative roles required, tax experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting or tax principles and administrative procedures
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a digital-first environment with remote tools, independently
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Eagerness to learn and work collaboratively with an internal team
  • Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming and outgoing tax communications, including emails and secure portal messages
  • Organize and maintain tax-related documents within secure internal systems in compliance with data privacy standards
  • Support the team with tracking deadlines, deliverables, and tax filing follow-ups and maintain internal tax calendars
  • Perform limited data entry related to tax filings, sales/use tax, and other tax obligations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Operations) to gather required documentation or information
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and correspondence related to tax matters

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word); familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud-based document management systems (e.g., Google Drive, SharePoint) preferred
