Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification is highly preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with top 400 accounting firms, specializing in tax review and compliance
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, with a focus on individual and corporate tax returns
• Proficiency in tax software and tools such as CCH ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or similar applications
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills to identify errors and inconsistencies in tax documentation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly
• Strong time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple client engagements simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and remotely, while maintaining a high level of productivity and professionalism
• Dedication to delivering exceptional client service and building long-term relationships
• At least 20 hours per week of availability

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of complex tax returns prepared by clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in tax documentation, providing appropriate recommendations for correction
• Collaborate closely with tax preparers and other team members to gather necessary information and clarify any tax-related queries
• Stay updated with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide accurate and timely guidance to clients
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation of reviewed tax returns and associated information
• Provide exceptional client service by promptly responding to client inquiries and maintaining strong professional relationships
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and assist in streamlining tax review workflows
