Summary
Join Skillsoft as a Senior Tax Analyst β Domestic Tax & Financial Reporting and contribute to the timely and accurate financial reporting of tax processes. You will assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions, support SOX controls, research tax issues, maintain FIN 48 calculations, and prepare federal tax compliance filings. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including accounting, treasury, and FP&A, is crucial. This role requires 5+ years of US tax experience, preferably in public accounting, along with knowledge of ASC 740 and tax compliance software. A CPA and master's degree in tax are preferred. Requirements
- 5 plus years of professional US tax experience, public accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of ASC 740 and financial and accounting principles
- Experience with OneSource or equivalent tax compliance software required
- Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
- Excellent Excel working knowledge
- Proficient in building and maintaining effective working relationships
- Must be self-sufficient, a great teammate, and work well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Responsibilities
- Assist with the quarterly and annual tax provision
- Support all tax SOX controls, documentation, and support
- Assist with the research of tax technical and tax accounting issues
- Maintain global FIN 48 calculations, documentation, and interest/penalty calculations
- Assist with the preparation of the federal tax compliance filings and review of state compliance filings
- Assist with income tax audits and other tax filings, as required
- Coordinate and communicate directly with other departments, including but not limited to local and regional controllership, technical accounting, treasury, and FP&A that support the tax reporting process
- Assist with other projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
CPA and masterβs degree in tax preferred
