Summary

WilkinGuttenplan is a mid-sized accounting and advisory firm seeking an experienced Tax Senior/Supervisor to join their growing Tax department. The individual will primarily focus on preparing and filing state and federal tax documents for high net worth individuals, S corporations, partnerships, fiduciary income tax returns, estate and gifts tax returns, and managing client relationships. A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CPA license are required, along with 5+ years of recent general income tax experience in a public accounting firm and estate, gift and trust experience.

• 5+ years of recent general income tax experience in a public accounting firm

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for high net worth individual, S corporations, partnerships and fiduciary income tax returns as well as estate and gifts tax returns
• Review tax returns and projects of Tax Staff while gaining increasing responsibility with the review process
• Prepare and review fiduciary accountings for estates and trusts
• Identify estate and income tax planning opportunities
• Perform tax research and articulate results concisely to clients and other team members both orally and in writing on matters specifically related to estate, gift and trust related issues
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities
• Manage and maintain relationships with clients; manage work for the entire process from start to finish
