Desired skills include proactive problem-solving, strong project management, and fluency in English.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant: ACCA/CPA or local equivalent is mandatory
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years as an accountant in high-tech companies, with a robust understanding of financial management and compliance
  • Payroll Expertise: Proficiency in managing Payroll ERP systems is preferred, with experience in Netsuite being advantageous
  • Global Exposure: Significant experience working in a global environment, understanding diverse financial regulations and practices
  • Technical Skills: Strong Excel and office skills are essential for data analysis and reporting
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, ability to work autonomously, and a detail-oriented, a problem-solving mindset is a must
  • Team Player: Service-oriented approach, collaborating seamlessly within a team to achieve collective goals

Responsibilities

  • Ensure reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, including intercompany, banking, customers, vendors and accruals are completed
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards
  • Ensure financial performance is analyzed and variances explained - including revenue, expenses, and profitability, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Review of variance reports and oversee key financial metrics to track business performance
  • Review of ledger entries for payroll, tax benefits, and contributions as well as reporting for regulatory bodies such as social security tax authorities, insurance, pension companies and others
  • Ensure the company’s financial activities comply with local laws, regulations, and international financial standards
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Oversee regional audits, while serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors in countries of direct management
  • Ensure timely resolution of audit requests and implementation of recommendations
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity for day-to-day operations
  • Oversee working capital and ensure that financial resources are allocated efficiently
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable, Business Control, and Procurement teams, serving as a key individual within the finance department
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales, Operations, and HR, to ensure financial alignment with organizational goals
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies across the business
  • Review and control operating expenses to ensure they align with the budget
  • Serve as the key point of contact for all financial matters for local management, global finance teams, auditors, and regulators
  • Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance business performance
  • Leading the implementation of a large finance corporate/regional project
  • Mentor of a junior finance team member (Accountant, bookkeeper, CFM)
  • Line management (min three team members) of regional finance team members (Accountant, bookkeeper, CFM)
  • Ensure training is provided to all new finance team members within their sub-region
  • Ensure the team is up to date with any new policies & procedures
