Summary
Join Harbor's Legal Technology and Operations Department as a Project Manager Team Lead. You will be the primary client contact, ensuring satisfaction through excellent leadership and service. Oversee implementation teams, managing tasks, risks, and time to guarantee on-time, in-budget, and in-scope project completion. Successfully manage multiple concurrent projects, collaborating with business and technology leaders. Demonstrate strong negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, client-facing environment. As Team Lead, manage up to three Project Managers, ensuring adherence to best practices, developing team members, and serving as an escalation point. This is a full-time, remote position based anywhere in the UK (London preferred).
Requirements
- Project management experience implementing Aderant Expert / Elite 3E
- Four-year degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Proficient in collaboration and project tracking tools
- Competent in the following areas: problem solving, customer-focus, communication, collaboration, organizational support, quality focus, and punctuality
- Authorized to work in country of residence (UK) without restriction or sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cross-functional project teams to ensure successful project delivery using Harbor Project Management tools
- Collaborate with clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with all project requirements
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals
- Utilize Harbor Project Management tools to track project progress, manage resources, and report milestones to stakeholders
- Coordinate project documentation, including project charter, status reports, and meeting notes using Harbor Project Management platform
- Monitor and manage projects risks, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to ensure timely resolution
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of assigned projects by monitoring and updating work-in-progress and measuring requirement milestones against actual work-to-date
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and clear communication
- Manage client expectations and provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and outcomes
- Address client concerns and escalations promptly, ensuring satisfaction and alignment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, timely and appropriate. Comfortable with communicating across an organization, from senior business stakeholders to technical teams
- Manage and develop Project Manager team members and ensure adherence to Harbor project management standards and best practices
- Serve as an escalation point as needed
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, promoting collaboration in a cross-functional environment to ensure alignment and collaboration
- Schedules assignments and tracks project tasks. Monitors progress and ensures the team adheres to deadlines, identifying and removing blockers as required
- Provide direction and support to project team members
- Identifies potential risks and obstacles that could impede project progress and develop strategies to manage them. Addresses escalations in a timely and professional manner
- Responsible for keeping the project on budget
- Provides customer billing, review of invoices and associated timecards, and addresses any client questions regarding invoicing
- Provides timely budget utilization updates to clients, ensuring work is performed within budget
- Ensure project delivers the scope as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW)
- Ensure tasks or deliverables not explicitly defined in the original SOW follow strict Change Management guidelines
- Participates in requirements discussions and requirements gathering sessions. Ensures requirements are documented, approved, and compiled into client-facing and internal documents
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience with the firmβs services, and/or clients is ideal or prior experience in the legal software industry
