Team Leader

Summary

Join the METRO Global Solution Center, a leading international wholesaler, and lead a General Accounting (GA) team of 8–13 people. You will ensure efficient and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes, compliance with company policies, and provide technical support to team members. Drive continuous process improvements and build strong relationships with stakeholders. This role requires a university degree in a related field, proven experience in a similar role, team leadership experience, fluency in English, and strong MS Office skills. Requirements

• A university degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Prior experience in leading or managing a team
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Experience in managing finance and accounting processes
• Strong MS Office skills, especially in Excel

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a General Accounting (GA) team of 8–13 people, including planning, organizing, and monitoring daily operations
• Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness in the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations
• Provide technical and operational support to team members in day-to-day activities
• Drive continuous process improvements and support the implementation of initiatives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP knowledge (FI/CO modules)
• Experience in an international, multicultural environment (preferably SSC/BPO)
