Remote Tech Lead

Summary

As a Tech Lead, you will guide BreederDAO's technical projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical guidance to team members, architect software systems, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, stay updated with industry trends, and drive innovation. Proven experience as a software developer with expertise in Javascript web development frameworks is required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a software developer with a track record of delivering complex software projects
• Strong expertise in both front-end and back-end Javascript web development frameworks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward challenges

Responsibilities

• Lead the development team in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions
• Provide technical guidance to team members, fostering their professional growth
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives
• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable and robust software systems
• Conduct code reviews and ensure that best practices and coding standards are followed
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, optimizing system performance
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, making recommendations for their adoption as appropriate
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in development processes and practices
• Manage and prioritize technical debt and ensure it is addressed in a timely manner
• Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a leadership role, such as team lead, technical lead, or similar
• Familiarity with game development in Unreal Engine 5, and with 3d model processing and manipulation
• Familiarity with DevOps practices
• Expertise in Python web development frameworks, such as Flask
