Tech Lead SDET

Summary

Join Encora as a Lead SDET and drive quality across multiple squads in Brazil. You will define and implement testing strategies, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. A strong foundation in software testing, automation, and data technologies is essential, along with leadership and influence skills. This is a full-time, work-from-home position.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, including Star Schema design and ETL/ELT processes
• Strong SQL proficiency (SQL Server & Oracle)
• Extensive experience in automation framework design and implementation using Python and Pytest
• Deep understanding of core testing concepts, including test case management, defect management, and using Gherkin for BDD
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and related services

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and drive adoption of comprehensive testing strategies across multiple teams
• Effectively collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams (developers, product owners, etc.) to ensure quality is integrated throughout the SDLC
• Mentor and guide other SDETs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices
• Demonstrate experience in shifting testing left and promoting early quality interventions
• Champion the use of appropriate testing methodologies, including BDD, TDD, and performance testing
