Summary

Join Alarm.com as a Technical Account Manager (TAM) in the UK or Netherlands, supporting pre-sales engineering, in-country launch planning, and key account management. The role focuses on driving technical onboarding for new partners and managing key international partners to ensure efficient use of Alarm.com services. You will act as a technical escalation point, provide product support and training, champion development requirements, and represent Alarm.com at trade shows. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for technology. This position requires up to 50% travel within the region.

Requirements

  • Degree level (or equivalent) qualification in Engineering, IT, Math, or sciences preferred
  • Fluency in English language is essential, plus one other European languages is preferred
  • The ability to communicate in English with vendors and internal teams, both in writing and verbally, in a clear, professional manner
  • A self-starter who can operate independently
  • Proficiency and up-to-date knowledge of consumer, cloud, and IoT technology
  • Strong people skills; natural customer service orientation and disposition. Candidate must enjoy working with clients and supporting internal customers in the organization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • The ability and commitment to meet deadlines, even during high-volume periods
  • Flexible and positive attitude that fosters team spirit
  • Availability to travel up to 50% within region

Responsibilities

  • Managing technical sales relationships with select partners in region, alongside Account Executives
  • Acting as the escalation point for technical issues
  • Providing valuable ongoing product support and training to partners on-site and via webinar
  • Champion and advocate for development requirements by gathering feedback from partners and other key stakeholders on how we can improve our product and processes
  • Representing Alarm.com at various trade shows and events
  • Demonstrate in-depth and current understanding of all existing andΒ new Alarm.com product release features to properly respond to partner inquiries
  • Support the Sales Team during some stages of the pre-sales process
  • Creating appropriate training materials including presentations, technical guides, and videos to facilitate the ongoing training process for partners
  • Conducting local and remote tests for new features in close cooperation with Product Managers and Quality Engineers

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the following is a plus: Electronic security, access control, home automation, or video over IP
