Remote Technical Architect-III

Summary

The Technical Architect-III position involves leading efforts in building new applications, providing technical guidance, following agency policies, and partnering with stakeholders and development teams. The role requires extensive consultation and coordination, knowledge of Microsoft Web applications architecture, and experience with various tools and technologies. A preferred candidate is expected to have additional skills and experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes, MS SQL SSRS, SSI, and SSAS services, and Okta for application security.

Requirements

• Knowledge of and experience with architecting multi-layered web applications
• Create estimates for analysis, design, configuration, testing and implementation tasks
• Methods used to install, configure, and maintain large complex web application infrastructure
• Knowledge of Microsoft Web applications architecture
• Software development tools such as Visual Basic, VB.Net, ASP.Net, Visual Studio, JAVA Script, NodeJS, Web Services, Stored Procedures, and HTML

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Architect to lead the efforts in building new applications or services that modernizes existing infrastructure, provides technical guidance, implements best practices, and follows the agency’s defined policies and standards
• Partner with multiple stakeholders and development teams on the technical infrastructure, application design, coding, and security for multiple applications, systems, and services
• Create and enforce application security, design, and configure runtime containers
• Assist in CI/CD processing
• Advise on SQL Server configuration
• Design and advise on IIS configuration and design

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes
• Design, and implementation experience with MS SQL SSRS, SSI, and SSAS services
• Experience implementing Okta for application authentication and authorization
