Technical Artist

Summary

Join Escape Velocity as a Technical Artist to develop and maintain Houdini and PCG tools and content. Collaborate with art and engineering teams to understand requirements and limitations, solve problems using procedural tools, and research new techniques for efficient content production. You will work on automated content optimization tools and contribute to improving the artist's workflow. The ideal candidate possesses both artistic and technical skills, experience with a wide range of procedural tools, and excellent communication skills. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a Technical Art related field
• At least one released title on the current or previous console generation (gen8, gen9)
• Strong knowledge of SideFX Houdini
• Experience with Houdini Engine (preferably in Unreal Engine)
• Experience with other procedural tools in Unreal (PCG,..)
• Experience with a scripting language, preferably Python
• Understanding of Object-Oriented programming
• Ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy
• Strong ability to learn new areas of development
• Ability to work well within a team atmosphere
• Excellent time management skills
• Creative problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Unreal 5 PCG experience
• AAA title experience
