Summary
Join ProjectDiscovery, an open-source security company, as their Technical Community Manager. Lead and nurture one of the largest open-source infosec communities globally. Requirements
- Possess deep technical knowledge in security and ethical hacking, with hands-on experience using our open-source tools such as Nuclei, subfinder, and httpx
- Previously worked as a security engineer, ethical hacker, or researcher to bring industry experience to community interactions
- Demonstrated experience in managing and growing technical communities, preferably in the open-source domain
- Proven ability to create engaging content tailored to a technical audience, including written and multimedia formats
- Highly motivated and proactive, capable of working independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a distributed team
Responsibilities
- Manage and moderate our Discord server and GitHub discussions to foster active participation and adherence to community guidelines
- Address technical inquiries from community members, facilitating knowledge sharing and problem-solving
- Develop and share community-focused content, including newsletters, blog posts, and contributor spotlights, to highlight achievements and updates
- Produce technical content such as how-to YouTube videos and other educational materials to assist users in leveraging our tools effectively
- Lead our ambassador program by recruiting and supporting community advocates to expand our reach and impact
- Coordinate the distribution of stickers and swag to contributors as tokens of appreciation for their efforts
- Plan and execute local events and meetups worldwide, fostering in-person connections and knowledge exchange
- Organize and facilitate monthly community feedback calls with our CTO, ensuring community insights inform our development roadmap
