Requirements

  • At least 6 years of software development experience and 2+ years of experience leading software development professionals (either as an Engineering Manager, Team Lead or Founder)
  • Experience leading agile and high-performing teams in a fast-paced, geographically dispersed environment
  • A deep appreciation for customers and the ability to navigate ambiguous customer problems and translate them into actionable solutions
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Able to break down problems and solutions into their component parts and explain each component to fellow engineers and non-technical stakeholders rather than relying on reasoning by proxy or relying on best practices
  • Hands-on development and system design experience
  • Ability to work equally well with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for your teamโ€™s process, delivery, and execution
  • You will partner with product managers, and our customers, to create your teamโ€™s roadmap
  • You will be a core member of your team, setting pace and leading by example through the contributions you make
  • Ensuring the output of your team is of high quality and solves the customerโ€™s problems, through writing and reviewing code and technical designs, providing technical guidance, and giving feedback
  • Conduct proactive weekly planning, setting goals, assigning tasks, and ensuring efficient delivery
  • Hold retrospectives to reflect on team execution and derive actionable insights
  • Document and scrutinize Project Plans, ensuring structured delivery of customer value
  • Ensure continuous and visible project progress, proactively identifying and mitigating blockers
  • Establish and iterate on team rituals (e.g., stand-ups, backlog grooming) for optimal effectiveness
  • Manage operational excellence, including monitoring, alerts, and on-call rotations
  • Balance product development with technical debt, ensuring high-quality technical investments
