Summary

Join Gorilla Logic as a Technical Lead and provide technical leadership to cross-functional development teams. Collaborate with the Product Owner and Scrum Master on technical implementation decisions. Deliver new features and build applications for the SafeRide platform, contributing high-quality code using best practices. Work with engineering, product, and quality assurance teams in an agile environment. Innovate in a complex environment while upholding security and regulatory requirements. This role requires extensive experience in web application development, specific programming languages, and modern build tooling. The ideal candidate will also possess experience with cloud engineering on AWS and various databases.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience delivering secure, scalable web applications
  • 5+ years experience in one or more of the following programming languages: Node (Javascript), PHP or React experience
  • 4+ Experience working on production level either web/api apps
  • 3+ years experience with modern build tooling such as Webpack and Babel
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining production web services at scale, especially using asynchronous patterns
  • Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs
  • Experience with SQL or NoSQL technologies (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Experience managing code with containers, specifically Docker
  • Experience with cloud engineering on AWS (ECS/Fargate, CloudFront, Lambda, Redshift, queuing)
  • Comfortable working on an agile, collaborative team using the usual suite of productivity tools (Jira, GitHub, Slack, GDrive, etc.)
  • Experience in unit and integration testing
  • Healthcare experience and/or solutioning in a secure environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to a cross-functional development team(s)
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and Scrum Master, responsible for technical implementation decisions in support of requirements
  • Provide architectural leadership to the team and our client
  • Deliver new features and build new applications for the SafeRide platform
  • Contribute to high quality code utilizing best practices (RESTful API patterns, SOLID, event driven WebSocket service patterns etc)
  • Work directly with the engineering, product, and quality assurance teams in an agile environment to add real value for our internal and client solutions
  • Innovate in a complex environment to bring real change to our industry while upholding security and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with other programming languages such as Golang and Typescript
  • Experience with other framework such as Deno
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
