Technical Lead

Requirements

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline
• Have 8+ years of experience
• Possess proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Have a strong understanding of software architecture patterns, including microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures
• Have experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Possess familiarity with front-end and back-end development frameworks (React, Angular, Spring Boot, .NET)
• Have a proven ability to lead teams and manage technical projects in Agile or DevOps environments
• Possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Have a strong understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL solutions

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and implementation of complex software solutions, ensuring alignment with business and project requirements
• Oversee the development team, providing guidance on coding standards, best practices, and architectural decisions
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and priorities
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and user guides
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of software systems through comprehensive testing and optimization
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing hands-on support as needed
• Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience working with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other federal agencies
• Have the following certifications: AWS certification, Azure certification, etc
• Have experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development
• Have the ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder and DevSecOps environment
• Have the ability to obtain a government clearance
