Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of industry experience including at least 2+ years managing high performing engineering teams
- MS/PhD or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Robotics and/or similar technical field(s) of study
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience
- Experience working with internal cross-functional partners/stakeholders when building software frameworks
- Experience with system design/architecture, algorithms, data structure design, and low level threading
- Open-minded and collaborative team player with willingness to help others
- Passionate about self-driving technologies, solving hard problems, and creating innovative solutions
Responsibilities
- Lead the Simulation Platform team responsible for delivering a modular and scalable simulation platform to accelerate autonomous vehicle development
- Work closely with internal users to understand their requirements and workflows and build a long-term roadmap for the team aligned with the company's milestones
- Lead technical projects, contributing as an IC while also managing a team of engineers
- Improve the scalability and performance of the simulation platform to run simulations efficiently at an extremely large scale
- Participate and share ideas in technical and architecture discussions, collaborating with researchers and engineers
- Advocate and set patterns for software development
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with game development or building simulators
- Experience in autonomous systems, robotics or machine learning
- Experience working in parallel computing environments and in emulation at scale
- Experience building software systems from scratch
