Summary

Join Splice as a Senior Technical Product Designer and lead the design process from concept to execution, creating user-centered designs for web and native applications. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Product Designer with a proven track record in creating engaging and intuitive user experiences
  • Deep expertise in DAW music production
  • 3+ years of experience designing audio/music (or equivalent) interfaces such as DAW VST plugins
  • 3+ years of experience in Javascript and front-end development or equivalent
  • Familiarity with web and native development frameworks, understanding their capabilities and limitations
  • Experience authoring and managing design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across products
  • A portfolio showcasing a history of high-quality work, highlighting your design process, creativity, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design process from concept to execution, creating user-centered designs for web and native applications
  • Build rapid prototypes to test and validate concepts early and often. You will be expected to iterate quickly based on user feedback and technical feasibility
  • Partner closely with the engineering team, leveraging your technical knowledge, particularly in Javascript and audio DSP frameworks, to ensure audio interaction designs are feasible and performant
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and ensure a deep understanding of our user's needs and behaviors
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging tech, and best practices in music tech and user experience design

  • The national pay range for this role is $142,500 - $155,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience
