Join PlantingSpace, an ambitious early-stage startup, as an experienced Technical Project Manager to drive the process of milestones and releases, and oversee the smooth execution of the product roadmap. You will have the opportunity to join the company at an early stage and grow along with us. In this critical role, you will develop and maintain the technical roadmap, manage milestones, mitigate risks, and improve team processes. You will lead by example, motivating the team and providing clear direction. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and analytical product development methods, along with hands-on software development experience. PlantingSpace offers a fully remote work environment, primarily within the CET timezone.
Requirements
- You’ve held a project manager or technical product manager role in an ambitious tech-driven organisation
- You have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, and knowledge of analytical product development methods
- You’ve demonstrated a strong ability to turn ambiguous or high-level requirements into practical, manageable tasks
- You have some hands-on software development experience
- You’re an effective communicator, verbally and in writing, creating documentation that drives alignment and action in the team
- You’ve worked with a remote team, and/or one with a strong writing culture
- You hold a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics - or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience
Responsibilities
- Roadmap planning: Develop and maintain our technical roadmap. Break down high-level or ambiguous goals into achievable milestones, and identify concrete tasks needed to reach them
- Milestone management: Setup and own a clear, repeatable process for our milestones: defining goals, identifying risks early, tracking progress, and making sure they are delivered
- Risk management: Keep track of key project metrics, anticipate roadblocks and dependencies. When problems arise, take practical steps to keep everything on track
- Process improvement: Continuously improve how the team works together. Identify ways to simplify tasks and automate processes, increasing overall efficiency
- Team leadership: Lead by example, motivating the team and providing clear direction. Encourage open feedback, and keep the team focused on achieving results
