Summary
Join Veeva Systems, a leading life sciences industry cloud company, as a Technical Release Manager for Veeva Vault Safety. Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Possess 8+ years of experience as a Release Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of successful software releases for a SaaS Product
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
- Show proficiency with version control systems, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools, and release automation (e.g., Git, Kibana, Jenkins)
- Possess excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
- Possess an analytical mindset with the ability to identify areas for process improvement and optimization
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software development, quality assurance, and operations teams to plan, schedule, and manage software releases
- Define and maintain release processes and methodologies, ensuring continuous improvement and best practices
- Coordinate release activities, including version control, feature branching, code merges, and deployment
- Communicate release plans, progress, and status to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences
- Manage and mitigate risks related to the release process, including identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing strategies to address them
- Ensure that all necessary documentation, release notes, and communication materials are prepared and delivered alongside each release
- Monitor and measure the success of releases, gathering feedback and data to drive process improvements
- Oversee post-release activities, such as issue tracking, bug fixes, and customer support
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to recommend and implement innovative release management practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience with release management tools and platforms
- Have experience working cross functionally with geographically dispersed teams
- Have experience working in Health sciences and Life care industry
- Have experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, shell or other scripting language
- Have experience in a product based environment
